When you take a turn that is too sharp too fast obviously your car is going to lose a bit of speed. However if you take the turn using nas you can actually take it sharper as well as faster without losing speed. As far as losing speed after you hit the walls I don't have a solution other than don't hit the walls and you won't have a problem.
